⚠️ Safety Warning: Appliance repair involves electricity, gas, and moving parts. Always disconnect power before working on any appliance.
Error Code: 9E1 Difficulty: Moderate
Problem: Low voltage detection (<90V AC) or power surge event triggering protection
How to Fix 9E1 Error
- Measure wall outlet voltage under load with multimeter (minimum 105V AC required during operation).
- Check for shared circuit with high-draw appliances (AC units, microwaves) causing voltage sag.
- Inspect power cord connections at terminal block inside machine – tighten screws to 8 in-lbs if loose.
- Test noise filter DC96-00488A for continuity between input/output terminals (should read <
- 5Ω).
- Replace noise filter assembly if open circuit or burnt appearance on components.
- If filter good but error returns within 10 seconds of power-up: replace main PCB DC92-01543A (faulty voltage monitoring circuit).
- Install dedicated 120V/15A circuit if household voltage unstable below 105V during operation.
