How to Fix 3E4 Error

  1. Verify drum rotates freely by hand (no bearing seizure) – should complete 3+ rotations when spun.
  2. Inspect drive belt tension and condition – replace if glazed, cracked, or stretched (proper tension: 1/2″ deflection with 10 lbs pressure).
  3. Check suspension rods for proper tension (all 4 should have equal resistance when pulled down 2 inches).
  4. Test hall sensor operation as per 3E procedure with drum rotation.
  5. Measure inverter DC bus voltage during startup attempt with multimeter (should maintain >300V DC under load).
  6. Replace main PCB DC92-01543A if DC bus collapses during startup attempt indicating faulty power components.
  7. Inspect tub bearings for roughness by rotating drum slowly – replace bearing kit if grinding noise present.
