Error Code: 3 Difficulty: Moderate
Problem: The water level is too high. This implies the water valve is leaking into the tub or the air hose connected to the pressure sensor is blocked.
How to Fix 3 Error
- UNPLUG washer from electrical power.
- Ensure lid closes fully with firm click. Check for obstructions preventing lid closure.
- Remove top panel or console assembly to access lid switch near hinge area.
- Test lid switch continuity with multimeter: switch must CLOSE when lid is pressed down (simulating closed position).
- If switch fails continuity test: disconnect wiring harness, remove mounting screws, extract old switch assembly.
- Install new lid switch using OEM part DC64-00120A. Ensure actuator arm aligns with lid strike plate.
- Adjust switch position if needed so lid fully depresses actuator when closed.
- Reassemble console. Test by opening/closing lid while observing control panel response—cycle should pause when open, resume when closed.
