How to Fix Refrigerator Error
- Unplug refrigerator from electrical power.
- Remove ice bin and access panel covering ice maker assembly in freezer compartment.
- Locate temperature sensor mounted near ice maker or in ice storage bin area. Disconnect wiring harness.
- Measure resistance across sensor terminals with multimeter at current freezer temperature. Compare to service manual specifications.
- If sensor reads open circuit, shorted, or out of operational range: remove mounting clip or screw securing sensor.
- Gently extract sensor from mounting location. Clean area with isopropyl alcohol.
- Apply thermal conductive paste to sensing tip of new sensor.
- Install replacement ice maker temperature sensor using OEM part DA32-10109R. Ensure proper positioning for accurate temperature monitoring.
- Secure mounting hardware. Route wiring away from ice maker moving parts.
- Reconnect harness firmly. Reassemble ice maker components. Restore power and verify ice maker operation cycles correctly based on temperature readings.
