How to Fix Refrigerator Error

  1. Unplug refrigerator from electrical power.
  2. Remove ice bin and access panel covering ice maker assembly in freezer compartment.
  3. Locate temperature sensor mounted near ice maker or in ice storage bin area. Disconnect wiring harness.
  4. Measure resistance across sensor terminals with multimeter at current freezer temperature. Compare to service manual specifications.
  5. If sensor reads open circuit, shorted, or out of operational range: remove mounting clip or screw securing sensor.
