How to Fix Refrigerator Error
- Unplug refrigerator from electrical power.
- Remove ice storage bin and access panel to reach ice room temperature sensor.
- Locate sensor mounted on ice room wall or near evaporator. Disconnect wiring harness.
- Measure resistance across sensor terminals with multimeter at current temperature. Expected: approximately 10kΩ at 0°F/-18°C.
- If reading is infinite, zero, or significantly deviates from specification: remove mounting clip or screw.
- Gently extract sensor from mounting well. Clean mounting area with isopropyl alcohol.
- Apply thermal conductive paste to sensing tip of new sensor.
- Install replacement ice room temperature sensor using OEM part DA32-10110R. Ensure proper seating.
- Secure mounting hardware to 3 in-lbs torque. Route wiring away from moving parts.
- Reconnect harness firmly. Reassemble components. Restore power and verify ice room temperature maintains proper freezing range.
