How to Fix 9E1 Error

UNPLUG THE DRYER. This error indicates the control board has detected an abnormal power supply, usually over-voltage.
First, try a hard reset by leaving the dryer unplugged for 10 minutes. This can clear a temporary glitch caused by a power surge.
If the error returns, and you are certain the home’s electrical supply is correct (i.e., no other appliances are affected), the main control board’s voltage detection circuit is faulty.
The main control board (PBA) must be replaced. This is a complex job requiring significant disassembly to access the board, label and disconnect all wires, and install the new one.
