How to Fix Dishwasher Error

  1. Unplug dishwasher from electrical power.
  2. Locate pressure switch (typically mounted on side wall or top of tub assembly).
  3. Disconnect thin vinyl air hose from pressure switch port.
  4. Blow forcefully through hose to clear moisture, lint, or debris. Inspect hose for cracks/kinks; replace if damaged.
  5. Test pressure switch operation with multimeter in continuity mode: switch must be OPEN when tub is empty. Blow into port—the switch should CLOSE with audible click.
  6. If switch fails to change state: disconnect wiring harness, remove mounting screws.
  7. Install new pressure switch using OEM part DD34-00001A. Secure mounting hardware.
  8. Reconnect vinyl hose securely to both pressure switch and air dome port on tub.
  9. Verify air dome port on tub is clear of lint/debris using flashlight and small brush.
  10. Restore power. Run fill cycle to confirm water stops at appropriate level without overflow.
