How to Fix Maytag Washer Error F0E8

⚠️ Safety Warning: Appliance repair involves electricity, gas, and moving parts. Always disconnect power before working on any appliance.

Error Code: F0E8 Difficulty: Moderate

Problem: System error (model-specific)

How to Fix F0E8 Error

  1. UNPLUG THE WASHER. This error code can indicate a problem with the drain pump on certain models.
  2. First, check the drain pump filter for clogs. It’s usually behind a small access door on the bottom front of the washer. Have a shallow pan and towel ready for residual water.
  3. If the filter is clear, the drain pump itself may have failed or be jammed. Access the pump from the bottom or by removing the front panel.
  4. Check if the impeller can be turned by hand (with power off). If it’s seized or makes a grinding noise, replace the pump.
