How to Fix Refrigerator Error

  1. Unplug refrigerator.
  2. Remove freezer rear interior panel to access evaporator assembly.
  3. Inspect fan blade for ice obstruction – defrost completely if frozen.
  4. Spin fan blade manually – should rotate freely without bearing noise.
  5. Disconnect motor harness and test resistance: 50-200Ω indicates good motor.
  6. Apply 12-14VDC directly to motor terminals – should run immediately.
  7. If motor seized or no response to direct power, replace evaporator fan motor WPW
  8. Check for water dripping onto motor from defrost drain – repair drain clog to prevent repeat failure.
