Error Code: Dryer Difficulty: Easy
Problem: Thermistor short circuit—Neptune series display code equivalent to F3E3
How to Fix Dryer Error
- Unplug Neptune dryer and remove front lower panel (typically 4 screws at bottom front).
- Locate thermistor WP35001191 mounted on blower housing near air inlet.
- Disconnect wiring harness from thermistor terminals.
- Set multimeter to resistance mode and measure across thermistor leads at room temperature.
- Normal reading: 10k-12k ohms at 70°F. tS code indicates short circuit—reading below 500 ohms.
- Inspect thermistor body for cracks, moisture damage, or physical deformation causing internal short.
- Remove mounting screw securing thermistor to housing.
- Extract old thermistor and install new WP35001191, ensuring sensor tip protrudes fully into air stream path.
- Reconnect wiring harness with terminals fully seated—verify no exposed wire strands.
- To clear tS code: press and hold SENSOR DRY LEVEL and TIME buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds until display resets.
- Run test cycle to verify proper temperature monitoring.
