⚠️ Safety Warning: Appliance repair involves electricity, gas, and moving parts. Always disconnect power before working on any appliance.

Error Code: 3E Difficulty: Moderate

Problem: Control / Communication Error

How to Fix 3E Error

  1. Disconnect the dryer from power.
  2. This error can be caused by a seized motor or an obstructed blower wheel. First, check the blower wheel. Remove the rear panel and locate the blower housing. Turn the wheel by hand; it should spin freely. If it’s blocked or broken, replace it.
  3. If the blower wheel is fine, the drive motor is likely faulty. You will need to remove the drum and belt to access the motor.
  4. Disconnect the motor’s wire harness and unbolt it from the dryer base. Replace the motor.
  5. Reassemble the belt, drum, and panels before restoring power.
