⚠️ Safety Warning: Appliance repair involves electricity, gas, and moving parts. Always disconnect power before working on any appliance.
Error Code: 02 Difficulty: Moderate
Problem: Not Heating
How to Fix 02 Error
- Disconnect the dryer from power at the circuit breaker. This is a critical safety step.
- Access the rear of the dryer. The thermal fuse is a small white plastic component located on the heater duct or blower housing.
- Disconnect the two wires from the fuse and test it for continuity with a multimeter. A good fuse will have continuity (near zero ohms); a blown fuse will read open (infinite ohms).
- If the fuse is blown, replace it. Also, test the heating element for continuity. A good element will read between 7-12 ohms. If it’s open, it also needs replacement.
- Reassemble the dryer and restore power.
