How to Fix Dishwasher Error
- Disconnect power at the circuit breaker.
- Remove the lower access panel and toe kick.
- Drain any standing water from the dishwasher tub.
- Disconnect electrical connections to the heating element.
- Test the heating element for continuity with a multimeter (10-30 ohms).
- If the element is open, remove mounting nuts securing it to the tub.
- Carefully extract the old heating element and clean the mounting surface.
- Install the new heating element with a new gasket.
- Torque mounting nuts to 15-20 ft-lbs specification.
- Reconnect wiring and test the heating cycle.
