⚠️ Safety Warning: Appliance repair involves electricity, gas, and moving parts. Always disconnect power before working on any appliance.
Error Code: F4E3 Difficulty: Moderate
Problem: Restricted Drain / Drain Check Valve Fault
How to Fix F4E3 Error
- Disconnect the dishwasher from power.
- This error indicates a problem with the drain check valve, which is part of the wash motor/circulation pump assembly.
- You will need to pull the dishwasher out and likely turn it on its back or side to access the wash motor from underneath.
- Disconnect the hoses and wire harnesses from the wash motor assembly.
- Unbolt and remove the entire motor assembly. The check valve is an internal component, so the standard repair is to replace the whole wash motor unit.
- Install the new motor, reconnect all hoses and wiring, and reassemble.
