⚠️ Safety Warning: Appliance repair involves electricity, gas, and moving parts. Always disconnect power before working on any appliance.
Error Code: E15 Difficulty: Moderate
Problem: Leak Detection / Flood Protection Active
How to Fix E15 Error
- Disconnect the dishwasher from power and shut off the water supply. This error indicates water has leaked into the base pan and activated the flood switch.
- Pull the dishwasher out from under the counter. Tilt it forward at a 45-degree angle to drain the water from the base pan into a towel.
- You must find and fix the source of the leak. Common culprits are a cracked drain pump, a loose hose connection, or a bad door seal.
- Inspect the drain pump and float switch for damage. The float switch can be tested for continuity; it should be open when down and closed when lifted. Replace any faulty parts.
- Once the leak is repaired and the base pan is dry, reassemble and restore power.
