How to Fix 8-5 Error

Disconnect the dishwasher from power.
This error points to a failure of the main wash motor / circulation pump.
You will need to pull the dishwasher out and lay it on its back to access the motor from underneath.
Disconnect the hoses and wire harnesses connected to the motor assembly.
Unbolt the old motor and install the new one.
Reconnect all hoses and wiring securely before setting the dishwasher upright and reinstalling.
