Problem: Refrigerator temperature sensor fault (R1, upper part)
How to Fix rS Error
- Unplug the refrigerator.
- Locate the refrigerator temperature sensor. It is in the fresh food section, usually high up along the back or side wall, behind a small plastic cover.
- Use a small screwdriver to gently pry off the sensor’s cover.
- Disconnect the wire harness connected to the sensor.
- Unclip the old sensor from its housing.
- Snap the new sensor into the housing.
- Reconnect the wire harness.
- Snap the cover back into place.
- Plug the refrigerator back in.
