Problem: Thermistor Error 2. The secondary thermistor (often on the ductwork) is reading open or shorted. Often occurs if ambient temperature is below 40°F.
How to Fix Dryer Error
- Ensure the room temperature is above 45°F.
- Unplug the dryer and remove the panel covering the heating duct.
- Locate the secondary thermistor.
- Unplug the connector and test resistance (should be approx 10k Ohms at room temp).
- If resistance is out of range, replace the thermistor.
