How to Fix E1 Error
- E1 is the legacy code equivalent to AE (Leak Detected).
- Shut off the water supply valve to prevent flooding.
- Remove the kickplate and inspect the base pan (the solid plastic tray under the mechanics) for water.
- Sponge out any standing water to reset the float switch.
- Run a test cycle to identify the leaking hose or clamp.
