How to Fix AE Error

  1. This code means the flood sensor in the bottom base pan is wet. Turn off the water supply immediately.
  2. Remove the kickplate and use a sponge or towel to dry out the water in the base pan.
  3. Run a short cycle while watching underneath with a flashlight to find the active leak (hoses, pump seal, or door seal).
  4. Fix the leak source. If the pan is dry but the code remains, the flood sensor itself is stuck or faulty.
