How to Fix Refrigerator Error

  1. UNPLUG refrigerator.
  2. Open freezer door and locate emitter/receiver sensors on opposite walls of ice chute (small red lenses).
  3. Clean lenses thoroughly with soft cloth and isopropyl alcohol.
  4. Check alignment – sensors must face each other directly without obstruction.
  5. Disconnect wiring harnesses and test continuity through sensor circuit.
  6. If sensors clean/aligned but error persists, replace both emitter and receiver assemblies (must replace as pair).
  7. Verify operation by placing hand between sensors – ice maker should stop when beam interrupted.
