How to Fix Check Vent Error

  1. This is a maintenance reminder indicating restricted airflow. It is a critical safety issue to address immediately. Unplug the dryer.
  2. Clean the lint screen inside the door opening.
  3. Disconnect the flexible vent hose from the back of the dryer and clean it out completely using a vacuum or brush.
  4. Clean the entire length of the ductwork inside your wall all the way to the exterior vent cap.
  5. Make sure the outside vent cap flap is not stuck shut or blocked by nests or debris. Reassemble and run a test cycle.
