Error Code: EF5 Difficulty: Easy
Problem: NTC temperature for the hot water valve is over the limits.
How to Fix EF5 Error (Step-by-Step)
- Check that your hot water supply hose is connected to the ‘Hot’ water inlet on the back of the washer.
- Ensure the hot water faucet is turned on all the way.
- Verify that your home’s water heater is functioning correctly and set to a temperature not exceeding 140°F (60°C) to avoid damaging clothes and the washer.
- Make sure there are no kinks in the hot water hose that could be blocking water flow.
- Disconnect the hot water hose from the washer and check the filter screen inside the inlet port for any clogs, and clean it if needed.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
- Check for simple blockages (lint screen, drain path, or filter) and clean anything you find.
