How to Fix E5C Error (Step-by-Step)
- Disconnect the washer from its power source and confirm the error stays cleared during a full test cycle.
- Access the internal components by removing the rear panel of the washer.
- Locate the motor control board near the drive motor at the base of the unit. Photograph the wire connections for reference.
- Disconnect the wire harnesses from the board by releasing their locking clips.
- Remove the mounting screws and replace the old board with the new one.
- Secure the new board and reconnect the wire harnesses as they were originally.
- Reattach the rear panel and plug the washer back in to test.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
