How to Fix E47 Error (Step-by-Step)
- Disconnect the washer from the electrical outlet and confirm the error stays cleared during a full test cycle.
- Open the washer door and locate the flexible rubber boot. Find the spring clamp that holds it to the front panel.
- Carefully pry off the spring clamp and peel the boot away from the door opening, exposing the door lock assembly.
- Remove the screws that attach the door lock to the washer’s chassis.
- Pull the lock assembly out and disconnect the electrical plug attached to it.
- Attach the electrical plug to the new door lock assembly.
- Screw the new assembly into place, then carefully work the rubber boot and spring clamp back into their original positions.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
