⚠️ Safety Warning: Appliance repair involves electricity, gas, and moving parts. Always disconnect power before working on any appliance.
Error Code: DF Difficulty: Easy
Problem: Manual defrost mode is active.
How to Fix DF Error (Step-by-Step)
- This is a normal function and is often activated by pressing a combination of buttons by mistake.
- No action is required. Allow the defrost cycle to complete on its own, which typically takes 20-40 minutes.
- Once the cycle is finished, the ‘DF’ code will disappear from the display, and the refrigerator will resume normal cooling.
- Do not unplug the refrigerator, as this will interrupt the cycle. The appliance will take care of everything automatically.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
- Check for simple blockages (lint screen, drain path, or filter) and clean anything you find.
- Make sure all doors, lids, and hoses are fully closed and seated correctly.
Still Not Working?
