Error Code: F57 Difficulty: Hard
Problem: Communication fault between the power boards or an inverter failure.
How to Fix F57 Error (Step-by-Step)
- Disconnect the dryer from the power outlet completely. This is a critical safety step.
- Remove the top panel of the dryer by unscrewing the screws at the back. Slide the panel backward and lift it off.
- Locate the inverter power module. It is typically a circuit board in a plastic housing, mounted to the base or side panel of the dryer’s interior.
- Take a clear photo of all the wire connections on the old inverter module to use as a reference. Carefully disconnect all wire harnesses attached to the board. Most have small locking tabs that need to be pressed to release the connector.
- Unscrew or unclip the old inverter module from its mounting bracket and remove it from the dryer.
- Install the new inverter module (part 00641857) into the same position, securing it with the original screws or clips.
- Using your photo as a guide, reconnect all wire harnesses to the correct terminals on the new board until they click securely into place. Reassemble the dryer panels, plug it back in, and run a test cycle.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
Still Not Working?
If the replacement part didn’t fix the issue, you may have a wiring problem or main board failure.
