How to Fix E22 Error (Step-by-Step)

  1. Open the dishwasher door and slide the bottom rack completely out of the tub.
  2. Locate the filter assembly in the bottom center of the dishwasher floor.
  3. The assembly usually consists of two parts: a cylindrical micro-filter and a flat coarse filter. Twist the cylindrical filter counter-clockwise to unlock it.
  4. Lift out the cylindrical filter and then remove the flat mesh filter plate that was underneath it.
  5. Thoroughly rinse both filter components under warm running water. Use a soft brush to gently remove any food particles or built-up grime.
  6. Clean any debris from the sump area where the filter sits.
  7. Reinstall the flat filter first, ensuring it sits flush, then place the cylindrical filter back and twist it clockwise until it locks securely in place.
  8. Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
