How to Fix E06 Error (Step-by-Step)
- Disconnect the dishwasher from power at the circuit breaker and confirm the error stays cleared during a full test cycle.
- Open the dishwasher door and remove the Torx screws that hold the inner and outer door panels together.
- Separate the outer door panel to get access to the door latch assembly at the top of the door.
- Disconnect the wire harness connected to the microswitch on the latch.
- Remove the screws holding the old door latch assembly in place and remove it.
- Install the new door latch assembly, making sure to secure it with the screws and reconnect the wire harness.
- Reassemble the door panels, restore power, and test the dishwasher by starting a cycle to ensure it locks and runs correctly.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
