How to Fix E06 Error (Step-by-Step)

  1. Disconnect the dishwasher from power at the circuit breaker and confirm the error stays cleared during a full test cycle.
  2. Open the dishwasher door and remove the Torx screws that hold the inner and outer door panels together.
  3. Separate the outer door panel to get access to the door latch assembly at the top of the door.
  4. Disconnect the wire harness connected to the microswitch on the latch.
  5. Remove the screws holding the old door latch assembly in place and remove it.
  6. Install the new door latch assembly, making sure to secure it with the screws and reconnect the wire harness.
  7. Reassemble the door panels, restore power, and test the dishwasher by starting a cycle to ensure it locks and runs correctly.
  8. Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
