Problem: The washer detects irregular voltage from the power outlet. This can be a home electrical issue, but often it is a failure of the main control board’s power supply.
How to Fix 9 Error
- Verify household voltage at washer outlet using multimeter. Must read 110-125V AC during operation.
- Check home circuit breaker panel: ensure washer circuit breaker is fully ON and connections are tight/clean.
- Confirm washer is on dedicated 15A+ circuit. Unplug other appliances sharing the circuit.
- UNPLUG washer. Remove rear panel to access main control board.
- Inspect board near power input terminals for burnt components, bulging capacitors, or charred traces.
- If household voltage is stable but error recurs, replace main control board using OEM part DC92-01003A.
- Transfer all connectors to new board one-by-one. Secure with mounting screws.
- Restore power. Monitor voltage during startup using multimeter to confirm stability.
- Install whole-house voltage regulator if home experiences frequent surges/brownouts.
Still Not Working?
