    Problem: Communication error

    How to Fix AE4 Error

    1. UNPLUG THE DRYER. This is a communication error between different control boards.
    2. First, perform a hard reset by leaving the dryer unplugged for 10 minutes.
    3. If the error returns, you must access the internal electronics. Remove the top panel and console. Check all ribbon cables and wire harnesses between the different control boards. Reseat every connection firmly.
    4. If all connections are secure, one of the control boards has failed, most commonly the main control board (PBA). Replacing it is the only remaining fix.

If the replacement part didn’t fix the issue, you may have a wiring problem or main board failure.

    Problem: Overheating error

    How to Fix HC4 Error

    1. UNPLUG THE DRYER. This is a critical over-temperature fault. The number one cause is a clogged vent.
    2. THOROUGHLY CLEAN THE ENTIRE VENT SYSTEM, from the lint screen to the outside of the house. This is mandatory.
