⚠️ Safety Warning: Appliance repair involves electricity, gas, and moving parts. Always disconnect power before working on any appliance.
Error Code: F30 Difficulty: Easy
Problem: Restricted airflow condition. This can be caused by a clogged lint screen, blocked door seal, or an obstructed vent.
How to Fix F30 Error (Step-by-Step)
- Start by cleaning the lint screen. Remove it from its housing and thoroughly clean off all lint.
- Unplug the dryer from the power source before proceeding with further checks.
- Inspect the lint screen housing inside the dryer for any lint buildup that the screen might have missed and use a vacuum to clean it out.
- Check the dryer’s exhaust vent at the back. Ensure the ducting is not crushed, kinked, or clogged.
- Disconnect the vent from the dryer and clean out the entire length of the ducting to the outside of your home.
- Make sure the exterior vent flap on the outside of your house can open and close freely and is not blocked by debris.
- Once clear, reattach the vent, plug in the dryer, and start a new cycle.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
