How to Fix Dryer Error

  1. Unplug Neptune dryer and remove front lower panel to access blower housing.
  2. Locate thermistor WP35001191 mounted on air inlet duct.
  3. Disconnect wiring harness and measure resistance with multimeter—short circuit indicated by reading below 500 ohms (normal: 10k-12k ohms at room temp).
  4. Remove mounting screw and extract faulty thermistor.
  5. Install new thermistor WP35001191 ensuring proper seating in mounting hole with sensor tip facing airflow.
  6. Reconnect wiring harness securely.
  7. To clear t5 code: press and hold SENSOR DRY LEVEL and TIME buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds until display resets to normal.
  8. Power on dryer and select any cycle—error should not return.
  9. Run test cycle monitoring drying performance—cycle should terminate appropriately based on load moisture content.
  10. If t5 returns after replacement, inspect wiring harness for short circuit between thermistor and control board—repair or replace harness as needed.
