How to Fix Washer Error
- Unplug the washer completely from power.
- Remove the lower front access panel to access the heating system.
- Turn off the circuit breaker for the washer at the main electrical panel.
- Locate the heating element and temperature sensor on the tub.
- Disconnect the electrical connectors from the heating element terminals.
- Use a wrench to remove the heating element mounting nut.
- Carefully pull out the old heating element and inspect for scale buildup or damage.
- Clean the eating element mounting hole with a cloth to remove any debris.
- Apply a small amount of plumber’s tape to the threads of the new heating element.
- Insert the new heating element and secure with the mounting nut.
- Reconnect electrical connectors and reassemble the access panel.
- Restore power and test the heating function.
