How to Fix Washer Error

  1. Unplug the washer completely from power.
  2. Remove the lower front access panel to access the heating system.
  3. Turn off the circuit breaker for the washer at the main electrical panel.
  4. Locate the heating element and temperature sensor on the tub.
  5. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the heating element terminals.
  6. Use a wrench to remove the heating element mounting nut.
  7. Carefully pull out the old heating element and inspect for scale buildup or damage.
  8. Clean the eating element mounting hole with a cloth to remove any debris.
  9. Apply a small amount of plumber’s tape to the threads of the new heating element.
  10. Insert the new heating element and secure with the mounting nut.
  11. Reconnect electrical connectors and reassemble the access panel.
  12. Restore power and test the heating function.
