- Gain access to the main control board, usually located in the console or at the back of the machine.
- Take a clear photo of the wire connections to the control board to remember where they go.
- Carefully disconnect all wire harnesses from the old control board.
- Remove the screws or release the clips holding the control board in place and remove it.
- Install the new control board (Part W11220230, W10869799, or WPW10144820) and secure it.
- Reconnect all wire harnesses according to your photo, reassemble the washer, and plug it in to test.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
