How to Fix HO SE Error (Step-by-Step)

  1. Turn off the hot and cold water faucets located behind the washing machine.
  2. For safety, unplug the washer’s power cord from the wall outlet.
  3. Place a towel on the floor to catch any residual water and unscrew the two water inlet hoses from the back of the machine.
  4. Identify the hot and cold water inlets on the washer. They are usually color-coded, with red for hot and blue for cold.
  5. Reconnect the hose coming from your home’s hot water supply to the red (hot) inlet on the washer.
  6. Connect the hose from your home’s cold water supply to the blue (cold) inlet on the washer.
  7. Turn both water faucets back on, check for any leaks at the connections, and then plug the washer back into the power outlet.
  8. Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
