Error Code: CD Difficulty: Easy
Problem: Door lock triac fault.
How to Fix CD Error (Step-by-Step)
- If the door remains locked, unplug the washing machine from the wall outlet.
- Wait for 5 to 10 minutes. This allows time for the control board to reset and for the wax motor in the door lock assembly to cool down and disengage.
- While waiting, firmly press on the door in the area of the latch to ensure it is completely closed and not jammed.
- Check that no clothing or other items are caught between the door and the washer frame, preventing a secure lock.
- Plug the washer back in and try to start a new cycle. Listen for the distinct ‘click’ of the door lock engaging.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
- Check for simple blockages (lint screen, drain path, or filter) and clean anything you find.
Still Not Working?
