Error Code: H2O LIGHT Difficulty: Easy
Problem: Indicates that the water filter needs to be replaced.
How to Fix H2O LIGHT Error (Step-by-Step)
- Locate the water filter. It is usually found in the base grille at the bottom of the refrigerator or inside the upper-right corner of the fresh food compartment.
- If in the grille, turn the filter cap counter-clockwise to remove it. If inside, there may be a push-button to eject it.
- Pull the old filter straight out and discard it and confirm the error stays cleared during a full test cycle.
- Remove the cap from the new filter and align it with the housing, pushing it in firmly until it clicks into place.
- On the control panel, press and hold the ‘Water Filter’ button for about three seconds to reset the indicator light.
- Dispense and discard about two gallons of water to flush the new filter system before use.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
