⚠️ Safety Warning: Appliance repair involves electricity, gas, and moving parts. Always disconnect power before working on any appliance.
Error Code: ER-07 OR ER-11 Difficulty: Moderate
Problem: There is a failure with the drain valve.
How to Fix ER-07 OR ER-11 Error (Step-by-Step)
- Turn off the power and shut off the water supply to the dishwasher.
- Place towels under the front of the dishwasher and remove the lower front access panel (kick plate).
- Locate the drain valve, which is typically near the drain pump and has hoses connected to it.
- Use pliers to release the clamps on the hoses connected to the valve and slide them off. Be prepared for some residual water to spill out.
- Disconnect the electrical wire connector from the drain valve and confirm the error stays cleared during a full test cycle.
- Remove the screws or release the tabs holding the old drain valve in place and install the new one.
- Reconnect the hoses, wire connector, and re-install the access panel before turning the power and water back on to test.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
