Error Code: FD Difficulty: Moderate
Problem: Fill problem.
How to Fix FD Error (Step-by-Step)
- Verify that the hot water supply valve under your sink is turned on completely.
- Pull the dishwasher out slightly and check the water supply hose for any sharp kinks or bends that could block water flow.
- Turn off the water supply valve. Disconnect the supply hose from the dishwasher’s inlet valve. Check the small screen inside the valve’s port for sediment and clean it with a small brush.
- Inside the dishwasher, locate the float assembly in the bottom of the tub. Lift the plastic float up and down to ensure it moves freely and isn’t stuck in the ‘up’ position, which would signal that the dishwasher is full.
- Ensure the drain hose has a ‘high loop’ (secured to the underside of the countertop) to prevent water from the sink from flowing back into the dishwasher, which can confuse the water level sensor.
- If these steps do not resolve the issue, the water inlet valve itself has likely failed and will need to be replaced.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
Still Not Working?
If the replacement part didn’t fix the issue, you may have a wiring problem or main board failure.
