⚠️ Safety Warning: Appliance repair involves electricity, gas, and moving parts. Always disconnect power before working on any appliance.
Error Code: PF Difficulty: Easy
Problem: Power Failure
How to Fix PF Error (Step-by-Step)
- This code indicates the washer lost power during a cycle. First, check that the power cord is still firmly plugged into the wall outlet.
- Go to your home’s circuit breaker panel and find the breaker that controls the laundry room. If it has tripped, it will be in the middle position. Flip it completely off and then back on to reset it.
- To confirm the outlet has power, try plugging in a small appliance you know works, like a phone charger or a lamp.
- If the outlet is working, the ‘PF’ code is just an alert. You can resume the interrupted cycle by pressing and holding the ‘Start’ button for a few seconds.
- If you prefer to begin a new wash, press the ‘Cancel’ or ‘Power’ button to clear the cycle, then make your new selection.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
- Check for simple blockages (lint screen, drain path, or filter) and clean anything you find.
