Problem: Restricted Exhaust Airflow (Legacy)

How to Fix F30 Error

  1. This error means the dryer’s exhaust vent is severely clogged, which is a fire hazard. Unplug the dryer immediately.
  2. Detach the vent hose from the back of the dryer and from the wall.
  3. Use a vent cleaning brush kit or a vacuum to thoroughly clean the entire length of the vent duct, from the dryer to the outside of your home.
  4. Ensure the exterior vent flap opens freely.
  5. If your vent hose is old, crushed, or made of flimsy plastic, replace it with a new semi-rigid metal vent kit.
