Error Code: F20 Difficulty: Moderate
Problem: Heater Circuit Failure (Legacy)
How to Fix F20 Error
- This is a heater circuit failure, functionally the same as code ’02’. Disconnect the dryer from power.
- Access the components on the heater duct, usually from the rear of the dryer.
- Test the thermal fuse for continuity. If it’s open (blown), replace it. A blown fuse often indicates an underlying problem like a clogged vent.
- Test the heating element for continuity. If it’s open, replace the element.
- After replacing parts, thoroughly clean the dryer’s entire vent path before use.
