How to Fix Refrigerator Error
- Unplug refrigerator from electrical power.
- Remove ice bin and locate ice maker assembly mounted in freezer compartment.
- Release mounting screws or clips securing ice maker to freezer wall.
- Disconnect wiring harness connector from ice maker assembly.
- Inspect ice maker for visible damage, ice jams, or broken components.
- Test ice maker motor continuity and sensor resistance per service manual specifications.
- If ice maker is jammed with ice: carefully remove ice obstruction without damaging components.
- If motor or sensor tests faulty, or assembly shows physical damage: extract old ice maker assembly.
- Install new ice maker assembly using OEM part DA97-12345A. Align mounting tabs and secure with screws.
- Reconnect wiring harness until audible click. Reinstall ice bin. Restore power and initiate ice maker test cycle to verify harvest cycle and ice production.
