How to Fix Refrigerator Error

  1. Unplug refrigerator from electrical power.
  2. Remove fresh food compartment shelves and evaporator cover to access defrost sensor on evaporator coil assembly.
  3. Disconnect wiring harness connector from sensor assembly.
  4. Measure resistance across sensor terminals with multimeter. Compare reading to service manual chart for current temperature.
  5. If sensor tests faulty (open, shorted, or out of range): remove mounting clip securing sensor to evaporator tube.
  6. Carefully extract old sensor. Clean evaporator tube mounting surface with isopropyl alcohol.
  7. Apply thermal conductive paste to sensing tip of new sensor.
  8. Install replacement defrost sensor using OEM part DA32-10107R. Secure to evaporator tube with mounting clip.
  9. Route wiring harness away from sharp edges. Reconnect harness firmly until seated.
  10. Reassemble evaporator cover and interior components. Restore power. Monitor defrost cycle to ensure proper operation and temperature stabilization.
