⚠️ Safety Warning: Appliance repair involves electricity, gas, and moving parts. Always disconnect power before working on any appliance.
Error Code: Washer Difficulty: Hard
Problem: Motor speed sensing error – motor unable to achieve required RPM for selected cycle
How to Fix Washer Error
- Unplug washer and remove rear access panel.
- Inspect drive system: belt condition, pulley alignment, and tub bearing smoothness.
- Manually rotate tub – should spin freely without grinding or excessive resistance.
- Check motor speed sensor (Hall effect) gap to rotor magnet (
- 5-
- 5mm clearance required).
- Disconnect sensor connector and measure resistance (should be 1000-2000 ohms).
- Spin motor shaft while monitoring sensor output with oscilloscope or multimeter in AC mode (should produce pulsating signal).
- Verify motor windings resistance is balanced (4-6 ohms between any two terminals).
- If sensor and motor test good but error persists, replace motor control unit (MCU) W
- If F7E1 returns after MCU replacement, replace main control board W
- After repair, run diagnostic spin test verifying motor reaches 800+ RPM during high-speed spin.
