How to Fix Washer Error
- Unplug washer and attempt manual door release using emergency pull tab (located behind lower kick panel).
- Remove kick panel to access door lock assembly mounted on door frame.
- Inspect lock hook for physical damage or debris preventing engagement.
- Disconnect lock wiring harness and measure resistance: primary coil 300-600 ohms, secondary 1000-1500 ohms.
- Check lock strike plate alignment – should engage smoothly without binding when door closes.
- Verify 120V AC reaches lock during operation (test at connector with door closed).
- Inspect wiring harness between lock and control board for damage near door hinge.
- If lock receives power but won’t engage, or resistance readings are infinite, replace door lock assembly WPW
- After replacement, verify lock engages within 3 seconds of cycle start and releases within 2 minutes after cycle completion.
- Test operation through multiple cycles to confirm reliable locking/unlocking.
