Problem: Serial communication error between main control board (CCU) and motor control unit (MCU)
How to Fix Washer Error
- Unplug washer for 2 minutes to reset communication bus.
- Remove top panel and locate main control board (CCU) in upper right corner.
- Disconnect and reconnect all harnesses at CCU, especially the 3-wire serial communication cable (usually white connector with blue wires).
- Inspect harness for pinched wires between tub and cabinet.
- Remove rear panel to access MCU and verify its communication connector is fully seated.
- Check for water damage or corrosion on both boards’ communication ports.
- Measure resistance between communication lines (should be 100-120 ohms between data lines).
- If harness tests good but error persists, replace MCU W10312695 first (less expensive).
- If F11 returns, replace main control board W
- After repair, enter diagnostic mode and verify all communication LEDs function properly.
