How to Fix Refrigerator Error
- Unplug refrigerator immediately to prevent fan motor burnout.
- Pull unit away from wall and remove rear access panel.
- Inspect condenser fan blade for obstructions (pet hair, packaging material, dust bunnies).
- Remove all obstructions carefully without damaging fan blades.
- Manually spin fan blade – should rotate freely without binding or grinding noise.
- Clean condenser coils thoroughly with coil brush to prevent future obstructions.
- Disconnect fan wiring harness and measure resistance across motor terminals (should read 50-200 ohms).
- Inspect fan motor bearings for seized condition – should rotate smoothly by hand.
- If motor resistance is good and obstructions removed but fan still stalls, replace condenser fan motor WPW
- After replacement, verify fan runs continuously during compressor operation without stalling.
