How to Fix Refrigerator Error

  1. Unplug refrigerator and measure household voltage at outlet – must be minimum 105V AC.
  2. If voltage sags below 105V during compressor startup, suspect undersized household wiring or shared circuit.
  3. Verify dedicated 15-20 amp circuit is used for refrigerator (no other appliances on same circuit).
  4. Check power cord and outlet connections for looseness causing voltage drop.
  5. Remove rear access panel to access inverter board.
  6. Inspect DC bus capacitors for failure (bulging, leaking) causing inability to maintain bus voltage.
  7. Check rectifier diodes on inverter input stage for failure using diode test function on multimeter.
  8. If household voltage is stable (>110V) but error persists, replace inverter assembly W
  9. After replacement, monitor DC bus voltage during compressor startup (should maintain >280V DC).
  10. If error returns, suspect failing main control board sending incorrect start commands.
